An automated briefing that puts 30-60 minutes of prospect research into the seller's hands in seconds, 1 hour before every call.

The Pre-Call Research Packs Playbook is an automated briefing system that puts a full prospect dossier in the seller's hands 1 hour before every sales call. The best calls start with the seller knowing more about the prospect than the prospect knew was possible; the worst start with "so, tell me about your business." The difference is 30-60 minutes of research per call, and this play compresses it to 30 seconds.
A seller walking into a call armed with the prospect's recent LinkedIn activity, their company's news, their team's hiring patterns, their tech stack, the original outreach sequence they replied to, and the 3 most likely objections sells far more than one walking in cold.
Most sellers do not have 30-60 minutes to do that research before every call, so it simply does not happen. AI does in 30 seconds what used to take an hour. Multiply that across every call your team takes per week and the compound advantage is enormous.
Every pack has four sections, each answering one question the seller needs before the call starts:
| Section | Question it answers | What it contains |
|---|---|---|
| The prospect | Who am I talking to? | Role, seniority, tenure, prior companies, 30-day LinkedIn activity, public statements |
| The company | What is happening in their world? | Funding, revenue indicators, growth, tech stack, launches, leadership changes, hiring |
| The relationship | How did we get here? | Outreach signal, full message history, prior CRM history, other contacts in pipeline |
| The strategy | How do I win this call? | Top 3 likely objections, 2-3 proof points, recommended call goal and next steps |
The research pack lands in the seller's calendar invite as a single Notion page or PDF, automatically generated 1 hour before the call. They open it on their commute, scan it in 60 seconds, and walk in fully briefed. No portal to log into, no doc to hunt for.
Claude (via API or Cowork) as the orchestration layer. Perplexity or Gemini for real-time research. LinkedIn data via Sales Navigator and Findymail. CRM integrations (Close, HubSpot, Attio) for relationship history. Notion for delivery. n8n for the workflow.
Four sections: the prospect (role, tenure, LinkedIn activity), the company (funding, tech stack, hiring, news), the relationship (outreach signal, message history, CRM history, other pipeline contacts), and the strategy (top 3 likely objections, 2-3 proof points, recommended call goal).
1 page max. Sellers will not read 5 pages. The pack should scan in 60 seconds and still cover the prospect, the company, the relationship history, and the recommended strategy for the call.
1 hour before the call, not 24 hours before. Signals like LinkedIn activity, news, and hiring go stale fast, so the pack is generated fresh and attached to the seller's calendar invite as a Notion page or PDF.
Manual research that wins deals takes 30-60 minutes per call, which most sellers do not have. AI does the same work in 30 seconds. Multiplied across every call your team takes per week, the compound advantage is enormous.
