Offer Framing

Most cold email advice is about copy. Most cold email failure is about the offer. This skill takes your profile.yaml and runs the decision stack: front-end the service itself if a real guarantee or low-commitment entry point exists, and fall back to a lead magnet only if it doesn't. It covers why the no-cost element is the strongest lever you have, and why 'free audit' dies on cold traffic every time.

Pipeline Playbooks · Open Source, MIT Licensed

The single highest-leverage skill in the system: decides what your cold email actually offers before a word of copy gets written, because copy cannot fix a bad offer.

When to use this

  • Right after building your profile, before any copy exists
  • Replies are flat or interested rate is under 5%
  • About to write a raw service pitch with no risk reversal
  • Deciding what to give away, guarantee, or lead with

What it covers

  • The one principle: give away the most genuine value for free, upfront
  • The spectrum: distance from the point of sale, service to magnet to unrelated incentive
  • The decision stack: front-end the service first, lead magnet second
  • Proven asks versus dead asks (a video or playbook beats an audit or consultation)
  • The diagnosis order when a campaign is flat: offer, then framing, then audience
  • Guarantee design rules: measurable, third-party-verifiable, contingencies allowed, terms off the first email
  • The three extracting questions for pulling a real offer out of a founder
